Environment – Quality of Life
The environmental benefits from the operation of the Recycling, Organic Waste Management and Green Energy Production Units are extremely significant. First of all, more than 210,000 tons of animal and organic waste, from all over Cyprus, are absorbed, contributing catalytically to the protection of the environment and the quality of life. This avoids significant effects such as odour, soil pollution, soil and groundwater contamination, visual disturbance, etc. In addition, effective waste management is imperative in accordance with good European practices deriving from Cyprus’ participation in the European Union.
