Animal Protein Production
With cutting-edge technology and innovative practices, the plant has earned the recognition of the industry and its partners for its integrated management, efficiency and commitment to the highest standards of safety and hygiene. It is the only one of its kind in Cyprus that, after its operation, is systematically audited and certified by the auditors of the European Union. That is why it is a reference unit for the Veterinary Services of Cyprus.
It started its activities in pork, sheep and goat meat, with two production lines with a capacity of 120 animals per hour and presented to the market innovative practices and technologies oriented to optimal quality and service of partners and customers. As a result, in the first twelve months after starting operations, it gained a significant market share of 48%.
The operation of the unit introduced to the industry new methods and innovative technologies, radically different from those of the competition. The entire cycle from transportation to delivery of the final product was designed based on reliability, quality of service and satisfaction of customer and partner requirements.
In 2010 the capacity of the pig line was increased to 200 animals per hour and the daily cold storage capacity to 2,500 animals. In 2012 a new Bovine line was installed with a capacity of 10 animals per hour.
At every stage of the production process, the strictest international standards of Health and Safety HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 45001 are applied.

Today, in terms of animal protein production in Cyprus, Cypra holds significant market shares and is proud of its difference in quality and the service enjoyed by its customer.
